Holy Family Basilica Youth Serving Christ Group

Introduction

The Holy Family Minor Basilica Senior Youth Group is comprised of young Catholic Christians ranging from the ages 19 to 26. It is a group that provides young Catholics with a platform to not only express themselves but to also grow spiritually and socially. Under the co-ordination of the Chaplain and the board of members, the group is led by a team of leaders often elected by the senior youth members.

Activities

The group is subdivided into four major committees of which each organizes and plans for various group activities. Listed below are the committees and their respective roles pertaining to the senior youth group;

Spiritual Committee

This Committee coordinates all the spiritual matters in the group that is;

• Mass animation;
• ABC (Adoration, Benediction and Confession)
• Recollection 
• Bible study
• Bible Trivia
• Formation
• Retreats

Social Committee

The Social Committee role includes;

• Charitable events
• Birthdays
• Trips
• Hike

Talent Committee

This Committee is in charge of planning and coordinating the following;

• Music festivals
• Sports
• Concerts
• Vigils

 Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is involved in planning and coordinating the following;

• Collection of all contributions
• Budgeting
• Organising walks for fundraising
• Youth shop
• Finance management
